The Speed Pilot system combines precise engine
performance monitoring, with GPS navigation information and advanced propulsion
control algorithms. Using this information, it continuously fine tunes throttle settings as conditions change to provide
the most efficient conversion of engine HP to thrust. The result, is a propulsion
system that is always operating at the optimum point of the speed / power curve.
By minimizing wasteful propeller slip, the ESP 1000 produces significant
fuel savings with no loss in speed.
Test results show using Best Speed mode, the ESP 1000 can increase average vessel speed 3% or
more, and reduce fuel consumption up to
